Resourcefulness as a Discipline
Before private residences and events, I spent thirteen years in visual merchandising — turning picked-over store displays into spaces that actually pulled people in. That's where I learned how to make a room feel full and finished, even without relying on pieces that were never coming back in stock.
That background taught me to be resourceful. Instead of defaulting to expensive tear-outs, I look at every space as a mix of textures, proportions, lighting, and salvaged pieces — making the most of what's there. Moving into residential styling and event design let me bring that same eye into everyday homes.
One thing I care a lot about: bathrooms shouldn't just be functional. Most design firms treat them like utility spaces, but I think they're one of the most grounding parts of your daily routine. With the right materials — matte stone, unlacquered brass, a soft waffle-weave texture, warm lighting — a bathroom stops feeling clinical and starts feeling like an actual place to reset.

How do travel and on-site visits work outside your primary studio?
For projects outside my immediate area, you cover travel and accommodations at direct cost — no markup, ever. I batch site visits, contractor walkthroughs, and final installation into one multi-day trip, so we're not wasting your budget on back-and-forth.
What occurs if a project approaches the dedicated 80-hour threshold?
Our meticulous planning ensures 95% of engagements conclude comfortably within the 80-hour framework. Should scope expansion occur, we provide formal written notice at the 65-hour mark alongside an itemized roadmap. Additional hours are approved exclusively by you in clear, predefined increments.
How are furniture, artisanal pieces, and material costs billed?
Furniture, lighting, millwork, and textiles are priced at standard retail — you pay the same as anyone else buying direct. On some items, I may earn an affiliate commission, which has no effect on your price.
Are contractor, artisan, and engineering fees included in your fee?
I provide comprehensive creative direction, architectural layout planning, and interior styling. Licensed general contractors, structural engineers, and specialized trades contract directly with you, working harmoniously under our continuous aesthetic stewardship and project management.
